When trying to request a certificate from a .SCR file using the CA MMC, you get the error below:
The request containers no certificate template information.0x80094801 (-2146875391 CERTSRV_E_NO_CERT_TYPE).
Denied by Policy Module 0x80094801, The request does not contain a certificate template extension or the CertificateTemplate request attribute.

You also get event ID 53 In the application event log.
Active Directory Certificate Services denied request 420 because the request contained no certificate template information. 0x80094801 (-2146875391 CERTSRV_E_NO_CERT_TYPE). The request was for OU=, CN=. Additional information: Denied by Policy Module 0x80094801, The request does not contain a certificate template extension or the CertificateTemplate request attribute.
You get this error because the certificate request doesn’t Include a certificate template name, which Is very common with Linux Systems.
CA Error When Requesting Certificate From MMC Using A .SCR File
To fix this issue, RDP to your CA Serve, copy the Certificate Request file and rename It to . TXT from SCR:

Than open cmd and type the cmdlet below with the Certificate Template you need to use.
certreq -submit -attrib "CertificateTempplate: SCEPComputer" reqeuest.txt
