Link Azure DevOps to an Azure Subscription

This blog post will show how to link an Azure DevOps organization with an Azure subscription.

Linking an existing Azure subscription to Azure DevOps allows developers to use Azure DevOps advanced services under the same Azure subscription. If, for example, an Azure subscription has free credit, credit can be used in Azure DevOps.

To link a subscription, Open Azure DevOps and click on your organization. Under the organization, name click on Organization Settings as shown below.

From the Settings page, side menu, click on Billing as shown below.

From the billing page, click Set up Billing and select your Azure subscription from the list.

About Azure DevOps

Azure DevOps is a cloud-based platform for agile software development. It enables developers to collaborate on code, track work, and release software faster. Azure DevOps provides workloads that support popular development tools and languages, including Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), Azure Repos, Jenkins, Artifactory Pro and Stash.

Azure DevOps helps teams plan projects to build software at accelerated speeds. The service fosters collaboration between cross-functional teams so they can develop code more efficiently. By using Azure DevOps, teams can pick from a growing library of hundreds of integrations with the tools they already use, including Git, GitHub Enterprise, TFS/VSTS and Bitbucket Cloud. Teams can also create custom tools that integrate with Azure DevOps through open APIs.
