With the official release of Windows Nano Server 2016 to the public I have decided to revise most of my Nano Server articles to reflect the latest release.
In this article I’ll show you how I Install the Containers role on my Nano Server.
To get started:
- Download Nano Server 2016
- Connect to It using Remote PowerShell.

Install Nano Server Package Provider
Import-PackageProvider NanoServerPackage Get-Package -ProviderName NanoServerPackage Install-NanoServerPackage microsoft-nanoserver-containers-package -culture en-us
