You get this error message when trying to connect to VSS from a remote PC.
Resolution
This problem is related to permission issues on the server which holds the share folder with all the releases.
Remove all permission from the main folder and disable inherited permission then
Grant Everyone and Domain Users full control on The sharing and security tab and enable them to inherit the permissions.
