Create a Dynamic Device Group for Microsoft Intune

When managing Windows 10 devices with Microsoft Intune, it is more efficient to add new devices to Intune groups dynamically.

This post will show how to create an Azure Active Directory dynamic group with devices (Windows 10, etc.) that will automatically receive applications and policies.

Create Dynamic Group

To create a dynamic group, open the EndPoint Manager Admin Center portal.

Click on Groups

Click on New group

On the new group page, Give the group a name, Set the Membership type to Dynamic Device and click on Add dynamic query.

In my case, I will create a dynamic query that will add every computer whose computer name starts with CPC- to the group.

This group will be assigned to an app deployment policy, so when the computer is joined to Azure AD and restarted, all apps will deploy automatically to the computer.
