Today, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Copilot for Security will be generally available to all customers on April 1, 2024.
Microsoft Copilot for Security is the first integrated security AI solution that helps IT departments detect vulnerabilities using Microsoft’s security LLM, which includes 78 trillion security signals.
Microsoft’s large-scale data signals of security insights help speed the detection of vulnerabilities and transform how operation teams handle security risks.
A security study run by Microsoft shows that Copilot for Security made security analysts 22% faster, with Copilot 7% more accurate when making tasks, and 97% said they want to continue using Copilot when performing reactive security tasks.
Pay-as-you-go offering
To make Copilot Security accessible to a wide range of customers, Microsoft offers the service in a pay-as-you-go model based on consumption.

Once released, Copilot for Security will be available from a standalone portal or integrated into existing security services like:
- Defender
- Sentinel
- Entra
- Intune
