This GitHub and Visual Studio code blog post will show how to clone GitHub Repos directly from VS code.
VS Code is the world’s most popular IDE, offering software extensions that integrate with cloud services like GitHub. In our case, we will use the GitHub Repositories extension to clone repos directly from VS Code.
Clone GitHub Repos Directly from VS code
Install the GitHub extension from the VS Code extensions menu to get started.

After installing the extension in VS code, click on the green Open remote button located in the lower left corner of VS Code.

From the menu, click on Open remote repository.

Click on Open Repository from GitHub

Select the repository you want to open from the list and wait for VS Code to load into the IDE.
