Disable Google Chrome Password Manager With Intune ADMX Templates

Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers in the world, with millions of users worldwide. One of its most useful features is the built-in password manager, which can save and autofill passwords for websites you visit regularly. However, there may be situations where you want to disable this feature, such as in a corporate environment where security is a top priority.

Download and Install ADMX Templates

To disable the Google Chrome password manager using Intune ADMX templates, you will need to follow these steps, which we covered in the previous post on this topic.

Once you have the ADMX templates loaded, follow the steps below:

Create a Configuration profile

In the preference search box, search for Password Manager

Click on the Enable saving password to the password manager

Tick the Disabled button option to disable Password Manager

Assign the policy to Windows 10 or 11 machines.
