Question: How To Configure a Cisco UCS 6200 Fabric Interconnect Cluster

This article will show you how to configure a Cisco UCS 6200 Fibre Interconnect cluster made by two 6200 switches.

Before you start you will need to connect a serial port to the 1st switch, 3 IP address and 3 host names.

Once you have all these connect to the first switch and type:

console

Setup

y

y

a

Enter the cluster hostname here

Type the switch IP address

Follow the prompts and type all the network details and apply when asked.

After the 1st switch restart, connect the console cable to the 2nd switch.

Before you start connect the cables, L1 to L1 and L2 to L2 and management.

Click y

Enter password.

Type all the network settings.

Wait for the configuration to complete and it’s all done.
