Question: How To Enable iSCSI Storage On ESXi 4.1

This article will show you how to enable iSCSI storage on you VMware ESXi 4.1 host in case you need to connect your host to a an iSCSI storage device.

Before you can connect to an iSCSI storage device you need to enable your iSCSI adapter on your iSCSI host.

Open your vSphere client or your ESXi client select you host -> Configuration -> Storage Adapters, Select the iSCSI device and click on Properties.

Tick Enable

Once you enable the device you will see your IQN number which you will need for your storage LUN

Next go to Dynamic Discovery and click add to add your storage If you already created your LUN and the ACL for it.

If all goes well, go to storage and click on add storage to mount the new LUN
