Backup Exec error “V-79-57344-33928 – Access is denied.”

Exchange 2003 backup is failed with the following error message “V-79-57344-33928 – Access is denied.” and Event ID 1022 appears in the event log.

Exchange 2003 backup is failed with the following error message “V-79-57344-33928 – Access is denied.” and Event ID 1022 appears in the event log.

This error append because there are disabled user mailbox that the backup account (usually domain admin account) can’t access the mailboxes which cause the backup to fail.

Resolution:
Reset the disabled user password and enable them, or uncheck the disabled mailboxes from the Backup Exec backup job
