This article will show you how to use PowerShell Direct to login to a Hyper-V virtual machine without the need to configure Network, Firewall or Remote management (RDP, etc).
In order to use PowerShell direct the following requirements needed:
Host needs to run Windows 10 Or Windows Server 2016
Virtual machine needs to run Windows, Windows Server 2016 (including Nano)
You can only use Powershell Direct from host
You need to use administrator account
Once your VM and Host meet the requirements above Open PowerShell on the Host and type:
Enter-pssession -Vmname nano1
Done, As you can see I’m logged on the my Nano Server VM using PowerShell Direct.
