How to Manage Microsoft Teams in Office 365

Today, I will show you how to manage Microsoft Teams using the new and old management portal.

About Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a new communication platform that combines workplace chat, meetings, notes, and attachments. The service part of Office 365 and will replace Skype for Business going forward.

Below, I will first show you how to access the old Teams management portal that you might need to use while the service is transitioning to the new portal.

Get Started

To access the current \ old Teams management portal from the Office 365 admin portal click on Services & add-ins and click on Teams.

Below you can see the old Teams management console and a new message that explains that Teams is moving to a new management portal that will combine skype for business.

New Admin Portal

Below is the link to access the new portal that also allows us to manage Skype for Business from the same console.

As you can see the portal manage users, policies org settings and access to the legacy portal.

Conclusion

I think Microsoft Teams is a great product the combines next-generation features like documents, notes and chat in one single console.

The best part of Microsoft Teams is that it’s going to replace Skype for business and was due to a big product refresh.
